The mount appears to be of good quality and is less expensive than comparable helmet mounts. Due to the vent arrangement on my mtb helmet the straps did not make the mount secure enough for my taste, so I actually removed the straps and used 3M VHB tape to secure it to the helmet (this was possible as this mount is wide enough to “span” the vents, unlike a standard GoPro mount which would not fit into or across the valley between the vents). Two rides in and so far, so good.

Pretty good. Some type of rubber material where the helmet touches the light mount would lock it in place/prevent back and forth movement. (Although movement is minimal)

This is what I wanted. I should have order an extra strap when I bought my helmet light..mistake. Now corrected I have a mount on both road and mtb helmets. I LOVE MY HELMET LIGHT and never ride without. It helps protect myself from distracted or just plain stupid drivers.
